Customer-centered B2B platform

In close collaboration with the client team, Intentive relaunched the corporate website of the inventor of the “Schlüter-SCHIENE” and also connected the backend systems via a flexible middleware concept. This created a scalable digital platform for over 20 countries with a multitude of languages that is ideally equipped for the requirements of today and tomorrow.

The success story of Schlüter Systems is based on tried and tested solutions for laying tiles and natural stone. The portfolio of over 10,000 products is both unique and complex, and the company's ethos is: “Our products cannot be sold, they must be understood.” Schlüter Systems' digital touchpoints have to live up to this claim, and the challenge was to create a customer-centric presentation.

FLEXIBLE PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE

The heart of Schlüter Systems beats for the company's products. In order to optimally present the diverse product variants and features, Intentive supported the selection and introduction of PimCore as a PIM solution, supplemented by extensive images, data sheets and product videos from the Canto Cumulus DAM.

All systems were connected to the web platform according to the API-first approach - so the content is also available for cross-source search and other scenarios.

Editorial content is provided in a central headless content repository, via which news, seminars, events and trade fair appearances can be used across all channels on all touchpoints.

CUSTOMER-CENTRIC & EFFICIENT

Customer benefit was the driving force behind the project. At the same time, the efficient provision of content had to be ensured so that the editorial team and product management were not permanently burdened with additional editorial steps when expanding the range of information.

Merging content from different data sources brings tangible added value: structured data enables automated referencing of product videos from the PIM and do-it-yourself tutorials from YouTube channels. Products can be filtered, faceted and indexed using taxonomies, and translation processes have been automated.

Intentive developed a UX concept and visual design for all these requirements that showcases the aesthetics of the products while also ensuring usability.

LASTING SUCCESS

After the German website goes live, the international rollouts follow. Intentive continues to support the customer even after the relaunch. As part of continuous development, new requirements are gradually incorporated into the digital platform, even without relaunches. This ensures that the digital channels meet the company's requirements at all times.
