Editing and analysis in one interface
Editors often do not have a direct overview of user behavior for their content on a daily basis. Switching between the editorial system and analysis tool is cumbersome and the path to page-related evaluations is complicated. By integrating the Matomo Open Analytics Platform, which was known as Piwik until 2018, editors now have their own dashboard in FirstSpirit and can carry out detailed user analyses directly in the editorial system for each individual page. For comprehensive analyses, it is possible to jump to the Matomo interface at any time and without having to log in again.
Matomo - the legally compliant alternative
Matomo is often seen as a legally compliant alternative to other web analysis services, as it technically meets the necessary requirements of the German data protection authorities. All information collected can be anonymized and remains under the full control of the website operator, provided they operate Matomo on their own servers. In terms of functionality, the open source software is in almost no way inferior to commercial offerings.
