Pepperl+Fuchs has been using digital asset management systems for many years to ensure that the large number of assets can be efficiently maintained and managed. However, the previous system no longer fully met the requirements of the users, which is why the company decided to introduce CELUM DAM after careful evaluation and a proof of concept carried out together with Intentive.
The existing, quite extensive databases had to be restructured and migrated from the old system to the new CELUM DAM. A newly developed check-in process enables the structured delivery of media by external agencies and photographers

Optimal metadata is essential for efficient work with comprehensive asset inventories: assets in the CELUM DAM can be managed in a structured manner, conveniently searched, workflows automated and license-compliant use ensured thanks to clear labelling. Together with the customer, we have therefore developed and implemented a customized metadata model.
With CELUM Digital Asset Management, the digital media content is not only available on the corporate website, but can also be used in microsites, the online store and future application scenarios. They are maintained centrally only once and updated centrally as required, and are then available in various output formats and resolutions for the different channels. For particularly convenient use by editors, we have also integrated the existing WCMS with the DAM - so the assets are available at the click of a button.
This means that editors benefit from efficient and intuitive maintenance and users of the digital channels benefit from comprehensive product information - always up-to-date and in the optimum format.
