Maintenance of the EKiR web platform

The Protestant Church in the Rhineland (EKiR) operates a large number of online projects for its church districts, parishes and institutions. Intentive has been managing the “Contentpool” - a joint content repository for the 38 church districts in the federal states of Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland - for many years. Intentive is now also responsible for the support and further development of the EKiR's WordPress-based web platform.

The EKiR Contentpool is one of the first content repositories developed by Intentive back in 2009. After an extensive refactoring in 2015, ekir.de was relaunched on the basis of the API-based system.

The WordPress CMS used here now also serves as the basis for numerous project and microsites within the organization. These use the synergies created by the central operation of the CMS and content repository. This provides a solid and quickly available platform for the requirements of the regional church.

Having successfully operated and managed the content pool for many years, Intentive was also asked to look after the website as part of a change of service provider.

With dedicated teams for service desk and IT operations, Intentive is the trusted contact for all requirements relating to the web platform.

While we were previously only responsible for the backend, we can now also provide comprehensive support for the EKiR's web platform in the frontend and CMS and continuously develop it further. This allows us to evaluate virtually all requirements directly, coordinate implementation or implement creative solutions directly in support.
